Since the Ridgeline is just an Accord with a pickup bed, it’s a ute, right?

This is a ute. A good ute that can do lots of Ute things.
This is a ute that is pretending to be a body on frame pickup truck and therefore must go to Ute Jail. It’s less like a penitentiary and more like Juvie.
That stupid rubber strip makes this entire car dead to me. Bad Honda!

I’m entirely comfortable with the idea that trucks don’t need to be body on frame. I would s ay the ride height makes it a truck, not a car.

This is the truck most truck drivers need, just not the one they want. Honda (and Acura for that matter) is determined to build ugly but otherwise wonderful vehicles and I don’t know why.

“Accord with
a bed” isn’t really accurate. I don’t think they’re technically on the same platform even. It’s a Pilot ute, really.

The Accord platform has a lot of cars on it. The Pilot/Passport, Ridgeline, Odyssey, MDX, and TLX are all on that platform

Whatever it is, it seems that’s the next vehicle we’ll be buying. Wife fell in love with a 2019 RTL-T and we’ll be looking for one with light gray interior. 2020 RTL might work as well, but they got rid of the shifter and I hate that.

I’ve seen quite a few older people with them, they are great for what most people need. I looked at them when I was thinking of ditching my old DD, they are not cheap new.
